The Yellow Light Project

We had a substitute teacher in high school who would often say "pray at the sound of every siren," knowing that someone was likely hurt or in danger. In the past, I have done things like praying for the drivers who let me out into traffic or do something kind that they, in turn, would have a good day. Somewhat silly, but I thought it was something nice to do.

So how does this relate to yellow lights? Well, let me continue. Yellow lights deal with waiting. I have friends who are waiting - waiting on direction, waiting on news, waiting on a child to adopt, waiting on so many other things. I have decided that I am going to allow yellow lights to remind me to pray for those who are waiting. What does that mean? For now, it means that when I am proceeding through an intersection and the light turns yellow while I'm going through the intersection, I'm going to pray for a friend who is waiting. I want God to keep them on my mind so I can often lift them up in prayer.

Want to join me and participate in The Yellow Light Project? I'm sure you know someone who is waiting on something. Why not think of them and pray for them next time the light turns Yellow?
