March 22, 2009

On March 22, 2009 a fundraising auction/dessert social for Pathway Community Church's mission trip teams (Mozambique & Dominican Republic) will be held at the Parkview YMCA in Fort Wayne. There will be a silent auction running from 6:30 until 7:15 or 7:30 and then a live auction will follow. Some of the items to be sold include:

A Wedding Package (value $750)

Squier Affinity Strat Pak Guitar

4 One-day Park Hopper Passes to Disney World

Teeth Whitening from Dr. Bob Scheele

Outdoor Movie Party Pkg (value $800)

Sporting event tickets

FW Komet tickets & autographed items

Photography Sessions

Jewelry

and lots, lots more...

Unfortunately, we've learned that our plane tickets alone will be $850 each. Right now it looks like we'll have about 30 people heading to the D.R. so that right there is quite a chunk of change to cover. I will try to post more as I learn what all we get donated. A near-5K walk/run is also being planned for May 9 as a follow-up fundraiser. This event will also be held at the YMCA. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Feel free to invite your friends!
