Home Just Before 2:00

We made it home somewhere around 2:00. Jacob is into everything! He's eating and drinking well - but he wouldn't take his nap after we got home. I'm extremely tired and tried to get a nap in, but Jacob only let me for about 30 minutes.





He wants to go play outisde. Honestly, I don't think you'd know he had surgery by just looking at him. He's wild & crazy!





Okay, so after I typed this he proved me a tiny bit wrong. He just tried eating cheese and wimpered a bit. He said his mouth hurt. Cheese??? He's been eating pop tarts and graham crackers and other harder things.... hmm. I bet he's just not chewing the cheese well.

This first pic was taken while we were waiting to be taken to the pre-op area. Jacob got to play in a dinky little room for a while.

This picture was taken shortly after we got to our room. Jacob was still pretty drousy from the anesthesia.

We had lots of visitors last night. Natalie stopped by just as we were getting to our room. She works in the peds unit but had been in a class all day. Aunt Laura, Uncle David, & Kevin were the first visitors. They brought a Sesame Street balloon. Both sets of Grandparents arrived at the same time along with Becca. We had a full room! Oh yeah, Becca brought 3 smiley face balloons to help fill the room!

This picture was taken this morning. Jacob was feeling much better by late morning and even played a bit of peek-a-boo with the pillow :)

Shortly before we got to go home, Jacob was downing one of his sippies of apple juice. He was feeling much better by this time!
